The Riverside Township Mental Health Board, in conjunction with Riverside Township, sponsored a presentation in December on the topic of suicide prevention and how to cope with feelings of depression & anxiety. The presentation was video recorded without an audience, with social distancing measures in place, and in compliance with all mandated COVID-19 health & safety procedures.
The video below of the presentation was recorded and produced by Riverside TV, and features several presenters from various area organizations affiliated with the Riverside Township Mental Health Board. All agencies involved serve residents in the Riverside Township area. After an introduction from Riverside Township Supervisor, Vera A. Wilt, the discussion is led by Dr. Joseph Troiani, a consultant for the Mental Health Board.
Featured speakers are: Anna Padron Sikora – Vice President of Community Engagement for Pillars Community Health, Anita Pindiur – Executive Director of The Way Back Inn, Chris Ward – Grant and Outreach Coordinator for The Way Back Inn, and Caitlin Joycesmith – Director of Development for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI Metro Suburban).
Additionally, the Riverside Township Mental Health Board has established a Community Resource Center at the Riverside Town Hall. They are currently available by phone or email to help individuals and families navigate the path to social services and mental health agencies. They can be contacted at (708) 853-9578 or at [email protected].
