The General Assistance program is available to provide temporary, financial support for Township residents in need who are looking for jobs, but do not qualify for, or are waiting for a decision on unemployment, disability, or other government programs.
Financial Assistance
The Emergency Assistance program is a one-time award to alleviate a health and/or welfare crisis, and can only be given once within a 12-month period. The amount available is limited and only granted if the crisis would be averted.
If you are a Riverside Township resident and seek financial assistance, call the office to determine if you meet any and all requirements necessary to apply for General Assistance or Emergency Assistance.
One should contact the Township Supervisor, Vera Wilt, at (708) 442-4400 or via email at: [email protected].
