Riverside Township will be hosting an outreach presentation from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office on the subject of identity theft. This FREE event will take place in the 2nd floor auditorium of the Riverside Town Hall on Tuesday, October 21st at 10:00 am.
Primarily aimed toward senior residents, “Identity Theft Scams and Prevention Tips” will explore how to recognize common scams and their many variations, teach seniors how to set up fraud alerts and security freezes, as well as how one should go about reporting a scam to the authorities.
A representative from Attorney General Kwame Raoul’s office will present all of these prevention tips and more, in addition to helping educate seniors on ways to restore their financial profile if they ever become a victim of identity theft or fraud.
