The Cook County Board of Review (BOR) has reopened Riverside Township for assessed valuation appeals from October 13th through November 1st, 2020. Due to this, there will be a delay in results on all 2020 appeals made with the Board of Review. It is unlikely results will be mailed any earlier than January 2021. Any changes received will be reflected on the 2020 second installment tax bill, mailed in July 2021.
In February, Riverside Township experienced its triennial reassessment by the Cook County Assessor’s Office. As a result of changes and corrections made to 793 parcels by the Cook County Assessor after the original results were certified and published, the Board of Review is now inviting taxpayers to appeal during the above twenty-day period.
If you have already submitted a 2020 appeal with the BOR you do not need to file again.
It is not necessary to re-submit evidence to appeals already submitted to the Board of Review; however, those wishing to submit additional evidence may do so by using the Board of Review portal or mail. All evidence must be submitted to the Board of Review by November 1st. Additional documentation will not be accepted after this deadline.
If you missed the August appeal opportunity with the BOR, you may now submit an appeal.
