Riverside Township proclaims December 31, 2025 as “Frances Sitkiewicz Day” in the Township.
At its December 2025 board meeting, the Riverside Township Board of Trustees presented a resolution recognizing Riverside Township Assessor Frances (Fran) Sitkiewicz for her 25 years of service to the community, first as an employee of the Assessor’s Office, then as Deputy Assessor, and since January 1, 2010 as the elected Riverside Township Assessor. Her last day in office will be Wednesday, December 31, 2025, and the Township proclaimed that day as “Frances (Fran) Sitkiewicz Day” throughout Riverside Township.
At the board meeting, Fran was praised for her enthusiasm, integrity, efficiency, professionalism, care and compassion. The Board also recognized her contribution to modernizing the office with computerization, digital outreach, electronic communication, and timely educational & outreach programs, while maintaining a high level of service to the community.
When Riverside Township is mentioned, people always think of Fran Sitkiewicz.
Her duly elected successor, Mary Jo Miller, a long-time employee of the Assessor, will take office on January 1, 2026, by law.
