The 2025 first installment property tax bills are now available online and paper bills will be mailed out by March 2nd. All payments are due April 1, 2026. To make a payment online, visit the Cook County Treasurer’s website here: https://www.cookcountytreasurer.com/
The first installment tax bill is 55% of the previous year’s (2024) total tax bill. It does not include any exemptions on your property. Exemptions are listed and deducted on the second installment bill. Valuation changes from 2025 appeals are calculated on the second installment bill as well.
