The Riverside Township Mental Health Board, in conjunction with Riverside Township, sponsored another presentation earlier this year on the subject of the Mental Health Implications of Caregiving, with a focus this time on Caregivers for Adults. This video is Part 2 of a larger presentation on mental health topics related to caregiving meant to create awareness and provide tools to deal with personal, family, and community health issues. Part 1 of this series, filmed back in 2021, focused on caregiving for children & adolescents and can be viewed HERE.
All participating agencies are funded in part by the Riverside Township Mental Health Board. Featured guest lecturers are from a wide range of area agencies, such as: Helping Hand Center, UCP Seguin of Greater Chicago, West Suburban Special Recreation Association, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Pillars Community Health, Way Back Inn / The Grateful House, and Aging Care Connections.
Additionally, the Riverside Township Mental Health Board established a Community Resource Center at the Riverside Town Hall. Their office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. They can always be reached by phone at (708) 853-9578 or via email at: crc@riversidetownship.org.
