The Riverside Township Community Resource Center wants to remind everyone that June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 6 million Americans of all ages have Alzheimer’s, with the number of new and existing cases growing rapidly. By 2050, the number of people age 65 and older with Alzheimer’s may grow to a projected 12.7 million, barring the development of medical breakthroughs to prevent, slow, or cure Alzheimer’s disease. Raising awareness is an important first step towards finding a cure.
If you, or someone you love, is struggling with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia and are in need of resources and support, please reach out to the Community Resource Center at (708) 853-9578 or by emailing the Resource Center at: crc@riversidetownship.org. Help raise awareness in the Riverside Township community by sharing this post.
