Join Riverside Township for another paper shredding event on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 9:00 am - Noon at the Riverside Masonic Lodge, 40 Forest Avenue in Riverside. The event is FREE and only for Riverside Township residents and only for personal, confidential documents. The Riverside Township Lions Club is hosting their 50th Annual Chicken Dinner on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from Noon until 5:00 pm. The event will once again be held in the 2nd floor auditorium of the Riverside Town Hall and will feature delicious fried chicken, plenty of sides, and light refreshments. Cost is $25 per person and tickets are available from a Lions Club member or at the door on the day of the event.

Riverside Township will kick off the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary by rededicating the “Swinging Bridge” to the residents of the Township on Friday, May 15th. A reception will immediately follow in the Town Hall auditorium, first with a performance by the Riverside Brookfield High School jazz ensemble and then ending with a special presentation by the Riverside Township Radio Players. The ceremony begins at 6:00 pm at the Bridge; see you all there!
