The Riverside Township is proud to announce they have awarded a $5,000 Grant to The LeaderShop.
Awarded on August 21, 2019, The LeaderShop plans to use the funds to expand its impact into the area through intentional outreach and recruitment of students who attend area schools; Riverside Brookfield High School and Hauser Jr. High School inside the Township, and S.E. Gross Middle School and Komarek School District 94 outside of the Township.
The grant is also expected to help fund staffing efforts to recruit and engage students from these schools, along with marketing and supplies. Additionally, the funding will support introductory events at these schools.

The LeaderShop empowers youth to become community-minded individuals through programs that foster confidence, knowledge, and leadership. Their Youth Development strategy promotes four senses in youth: sense of confidence, sense of usefulness, sense of belonging and sense of power & influence. Maximizing opportunities for youth to develop these senses has been proven to increase self-esteem, healthy decision making, emotional competence, self-awareness, positive coping skills, and resiliency.
The LeaderShop offers many programs, including but not limited to: High School and Jr. High School Leadership programs, mentoring, summer camp, after school programs, community service, and Youth Mental Health First Aid.
