Effective March 15th, Riverside Township will be CLOSED. Town Hall building and ALL offices (including the Village and Assessor) are completely closed to the public due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
However, staff will be on-site during regular office hours to assist emergency food pantry, nurse’s closet, and financial aid requests as they arise, but we are asking everyone to please call the office first at (708) 442-4400 to coordinate your visit.
Similarly, the Community Resource Center at the Town Hall is closed as well. Staff is checking messages and can still be reached by calling (708) 853-9578.
Riverside Township has suspended several community events in an effort to lessen the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The health and safety of our community, especially that of our seniors, is our top priority. To that end, the following programs are canceled until further notice:
- Free Exercise Classes (Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
- Weekly Movies (Thursday)
- Radio Players (Friday) for the rest of the season
- Lions Club Chicken Dinner on April 25th
- Tax Assessor Appointments will be over the phone only (no walk-ins)
- Suicide Prevention Seminar (3/21/20)
We will continue to monitor the situation. Please visit the Riverside Township website for updates.
