As demand for COVID-19 vaccinations wanes locally, Cook County is shifting its strategy to redeploy resources to support hyperlocal, community-based vaccinations initiatives to areas with a high vulnerability index and low vaccination rates. As a result, Cook County Health’s remaining 3 mass vaccination sites in Des Plaines, Matteson, and Forest Park have now been closed. Meanwhile, vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson all continue to be offered at every Cook County Health facility listed below.
Every person age 12 and older is encouraged to get vaccinated. The vaccine is safe, free, and no one will be turned away. Neither citizenship status nor insurance coverage is required to get the shot.
Vaccination walk-in hours at all of the Cook County Health locations listed below are 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. To see all vaccination locations and details, one can visit: https://myshotcookcounty.com/, or call (833) 308-1988.
